DESCRIPTION:This session will help you to better understand:\n\nwhat 
 academic impact is and what key measures represent\n\nthe potential of 
 analytical tools like Scopus (Elsevier)\, InCites and Web of Science 
 (Clarivate) and Google Scholar to support and optimise impactful 
 activities\n\nsome key bibliometrics and how to use them to identify 
 relevant authors or high-impact journals\n\nwhat alternative assessment 
 metrics - 'altmetrics’ - represent and can contribute to measuring and 
 assessing academic impact\, and the relative impact of different journals 
 and articles.\n\nnewer\, free online academic search engines and 
 bibliographic databases and their metrics\n\nthe Library’s Research guide 
 as an introduction to research impact\, strategic publishing and other
