Researcher Development: Searching with AI, databases and more Online
This workshop is for HDR candidates, academic staff, and researchers who want to build their search skills and explore how AI tools can support the research process responsibly and effectively.
In this session you will:
- Explore the ethical, legal and social implications of using AI in research
- Learn strategies for critically evaluating AI-generated content Understand how and when to document and disclose AI use in your research
- See demonstrations of AI tools for generating keywords, refining research questions, and supporting grammar and spelling checks
- Learn how AI can complement, rather than replace, traditional research methods
- Develop effective search strategies for academic databases and library resources
