Body Doubling Study Sessions Online

What is 'Body Doubling'?

These are structured study and writing sessions where you can spend time with other staff and students working on your own.

When and where does this take place?

They take place online via Teams each week and on campus in Fremantle and Sydney every second week.

This session is in Fremantle from 10.00 to 11.15 am in ND17/ 113 (the room next to the Mouat St entrance to the library).

You can join this session online using the link in the email you receive after registering (or on the workshops and events calendar).

If you are  in Sydney, the online session will be from 12.00 to 1.15 pm.

What can I expect during the session?

A few minutes for Welcome & Goal Setting

  • Set your study goals for today.
  • Identify any anticipated barriers.
  • Discuss with the host or peers if you'd like support.

25 minutes of Independent, silent study.

A five-minute Brain Dump

  • Review what you've completed.
  • Capture ideas, questions or next steps.
  • Ask questions if needed.

A five-minute Brain Pause

  • Move, stretch, hydrate or take a short break away from study.

A twenty-minute refocus on independent, silent study.

A final brief Brain Dump

  • Reflect on your progress.
  • Share achievements (optional).
  • Identify your next step before leaving.

So, remind me, how do I take part?
