Open Access Week: Who Owns Our Knowledge?

Open Access Week: Who Owns Our Knowledge? Online

Join us for a topical presentation during International Open Access Week 2025 that explores the power of open-access publishing at Notre Dame Australia. Our keynote speaker, Dr Victoria Lorrimar (Associate Dean, Research - Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Theology; Senior Research Fellow - Institute for Ethics and Society), will share about the benefits of open access research in her own practice across both humanities and science contexts.

Lightning talks will feature

  • Professor Lauren Stephenson (National Deputy Head of School - School of Education) and Associate Professor Kathie Ardzejewska (Senior Academic Developer - Curriculum & Quality) on their co-authorship of an open book chapter for a major publisher "Bringing together theory and practice to enact social justice in higher education leadership", and
  • Dr Michael Down (School of Education) on his work publishing papers under the CAUL Read & Publish (transformative) agreements.

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a global movement that is expanding open scholarship and research, and to free information from commercialisation!

Online: streamed via Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent to you 1 day prior to the start of the session in the reminder email.

Please confirm your place using your Notre Dame email address, and by clicking the Register button below.
