This hands-on workshop is intended for HDRs who are in the mid to late stages of working on their thesis, or beginning candidates who wish to gain an overview of the process. You will learn tips and tricks, and consider what might be involved when formatting and publishing traditional theses and theses by publication.

  • Develop a Word template for your thesis and related documents to comply with a publication and referencing style and meet the technical requirements laid out in the University's Guideline: Presentation and Submission of Research Theses
  • Understand how EndNote works with long documents
  • Understand the role of Copyright in your thesis
  • Explore the difference around may be required for presenting a thesis by publication to examiners and for publishing in the University repository, ResearchOnline
