Researcher Development: Open Access Publishing Online
Publishing your work is a multi-layered process. This workshop will introduce you to open access publishing, including how to select an appropriate open access journal in which to publish.
- Develop an understanding of open access publishing and its impact
- Introduce the 'Read and publish' (transformative) agreements in which this University participates, which allow Notre Dame-affiliated researchers to publish open access articles without paying an 'Article processing charge' (APC)
- Identify open access journals or books in your discipline or area of research
- Discuss the requirement that outputs from publicly-funded research projects be deposited into an open access institutional repository
This event will be held online.
To ensure you attend the workshop at the correct time, please check that the Time Zone shown in the green box below reflects your location.
Researcher Development classes
The University Library offers a range of free workshops to help develop skills and strategies for researchers. You may attend as many of our research skills (including referencing), publishing and research management sessions as you like.
