Researcher Development: Research impact and metrics Online

This session will help you to better understand:

the potential of analytical tools like Scopus (Elsevier), InCites and Web of Science (Clarivate) and Google Scholar to support and optimise impactful activities
some key bibliometrics and how to use them to identify relevant authors or high-impact journals
what alternative assessment metrics - 'altmetrics’ - represent and can contribute to measuring and assessing academic impact, and the relative impact of different journals and articles.
newer, free online academic search engines and bibliographic databases and their metrics
the Library’s Research guide as an introduction to research impact, strategic publishing and other relevant themes: https://library.nd.edu.au/researchers/researchimpact/home
