Research Ethics and Applying for Ethical Clearance Online

Before conducting research that involves humans as participants, approval must be obtained from the University's Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).
This workshop will be a comprehensive introduction to Research Ethics with an emphasis on the principles of the National Statement on the Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007, updated 2018), the body of knowledge on which all ethics application questions are based.
This workshop will be particularly useful for new researchers and HDR students in understanding and ‘demystifying’ the process of obtaining ethical clearance for their research from UNDA.
I will go through the Full ethical review application form step-by-step and share many tips and hints on what our HREC looks for in a good ethics application.
This is for those who need either an introduction to research ethics or simply a refresher.
