Researcher Development: Getting Permission: Using images, music and other people’s work in your thesis or coursework
You are invited to participate in the University Library’s Getting Permission: Using images, music and other people’s work in your thesis or coursework workshop. This session aims to explore the cross-over between what the copyright requirements are for using third party material within your work prior to the final submission and publication of your thesis or coursework.
- Do I need permission?
- What is a public domain item and can I use it?
- Deciphering Creative Commons licensed material
- Requesting permission from the copyright owner
- Publication refusal and plagiarism
