Researcher Development: Copyright for Researchers: An Overview In-Person
You are invited to participate in the University Library’s Copyright for Researchers: An Overview workshop. This session – repeated across two dates in Semester One – is designed for those that are moving towards or further into writing their thesis, or publishing work. The focus will be on:
- What Copyright involves and why it is important
- Including updates to legislation and moral rights
- International Copyright Law
- Moral Rights
- Creative Commons licensing
- The importance of citing your sources
There will be a follow-up workshop on Getting Permission, for those that would like a more in-depth view into the cross-over between what the copyright requirements are for using third party material within your work prior to the final submission and publication of your thesis or coursework.
