Researcher Development: Copyright for Researchers: An Overview (Collaborate Online Session) In-Person
Times: 9am-10am AWST / 11am-12pm AEST
You are invited to participate in the University Library’s Copyright for Researchers: An Overview workshop. This session – repeated across two dates in Semester One – is designed for those that are moving towards or further into writing their thesis, or publishing work. The focus will be on:
- What Copyright involves and why it is important
- Including updates to legislation and moral rights
- International Copyright Law
- Moral Rights
- Creative Commons licensing
- The importance of citing your sources
There will be a follow-up workshop on Getting Permission, for those that would like a more in-depth view into the cross-over between what the copyright requirements are for using third party material within your work prior to the final submission and publication of your thesis or coursework.
This session will be held online via Collaborate. The link will be sent to all participants prior to the session start time.
